Bio-Hazard clean up in Austin, TX

Our team received a call and proceeded out to an apartment complex in the Hyde Park area of Austin, TX. This was for biohazard clean up due to a hoarding issue and the presence of pet feces throughout the apartment.

Once we arrived, we were informed that the apartment had been vacated for the past month. It was not a pretty site.

We took the necessary precautions and geared up in our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to start the cleanup process.

After we got the bulk of the furniture out it was time to start cleaning the walls and floors. Flooring that was damaged and could not be cleaned was removed. We moved forward with the full anti-microbial process protecting and preserving the integrity of the apartment.

At the end of the day, the damage was pretty extensive and would have been detrimental to anyone living within the structure. It's important to note that these conditions if left untreated can cause extreme health issues from contamination and can jeopardize materials and the structure of your home.

Biohazard waste can be primarily identified as follows:

  • Paper towels, rags and similar items saturated with biohazardous materials
  • Infectious agents
  • Waste from bacteria, spores and viruses

Biohazard contaminants should be considered very dangerous as they can pose a serious health risk. Sewer backups and flood water are two of the most common biohazard scenarios that can affect your home or business.
